Due Diligence & Compliance

Everything a serious buyer needs to know

We believe in full transparency. Below are honest, detailed answers to every question a professional buyer, broker or institutional partner may have before initiating a transaction with Africa Oud Supply.

Yes. Africa Oud Supply is a legally registered company in Gabon. Upon request from a serious and qualified buyer, we can share the following documents in a secure and confidential manner:
  • Official Government-issued ID of the company director
  • ID of any interpreter or intermediary involved in the transaction
  • Company registration certificate (RCCM) issued in Gabon
  • Tax identification number (NIF)
We only share these documents bilaterally — once the buyer has also provided their own verifiable identity and professional qualifications. Transparency works both ways.

Yes. Africa Oud Supply SA is an officially incorporated company based in Libreville, Gabon. We operate from registered premises in Libreville's Zone Industrielle. Our incorporation documents, tax registration and trade registry number (RCCM) are available upon request during the due diligence phase of any serious commercial negotiation.

Absolutely — and this is standard procedure at Africa Oud Supply. Before any commercial agreement is signed, we systematically provide:
  • High-resolution photos of the physical lot (interior and exterior of packaging)
  • Product-specific photographs clearly labelled by type (e.g., raw agarwood, chips, powder, iboga bark root)
  • Video walkthroughs of the batch on request
  • Weight verification photos with certified scales
We do not use stock images or catalogue photos in our sales process. What you see is what is physically available.

Our current Agarwood product range includes:
  • Raw Agarwood (Bois d'Agar brut) — Naturally formed resinous heartwood, manually sorted. Available in small, medium and large piece formats.
  • Agarwood Chips (Copeaux d'Oud) — Prepared wood chips ideal for burning (bakhoor). Sorted by resin density and grade.
  • Agarwood Powder (Poudre d'Agar) — Fine-ground powder for perfumery, distillation or incense applications.
  • Agarwood Offcuts & Dust — Processing by-products for extraction purposes.
Detailed product sheets with names, grades and current stock can be shared upon receipt of a formal inquiry.

Agarwood / Oud: The Aquilaria trees sourced through our supply network are typically between 15 and 40+ years old. Resin formation (agarwood) results from a natural wound or fungal infection response within the tree. Older trees with deeper infection produce higher-grade, more aromatic resin. Our agarwood is harvested by hand — the resinous heartwood is carefully extracted, minimising bark damage and ensuring the core material is preserved. We source from both wild-harvested and sustainably managed trees, with full traceability documentation.

Tabernanthe Iboga: Iboga shrubs reach maturity at 5 to 12 years. The root bark — the primary active part — is harvested sustainably by peeling the outer root bark without uprooting the entire plant. This allows the plant to regenerate. Whole plants and aerial parts (stem bark, leaves) can also be supplied depending on buyer requirements and season.

Gabon periodically implements temporary export moratoriums on certain botanical species to control sustainable harvesting. We will always be fully transparent about which product lines are currently cleared for export and which are pending renewed authorisation. At the time of your inquiry, we will confirm in writing the current embargo status for each product type you are interested in. We do not proceed with any transaction involving a product under active export embargo.

Available stock fluctuates based on season, harvest cycles and active orders. We do not publish live inventory figures on the website to avoid speculative inquiries. However, upon receiving a serious and qualified inquiry — including your intended quantity, product type and destination country — we will provide you with:
  • Current available stock per product type (in kg)
  • Verified weight documentation with photos
  • Estimated replenishment timeline if your required quantity exceeds current stock
Please submit your request via our quote form or contact us directly on WhatsApp.

Prices vary significantly based on product grade, resin content, batch size and current market conditions. We do not publish fixed prices online as each order is assessed individually. Pricing factors include:
  • Product type and quality grade
  • Total quantity ordered (volume discounts apply)
  • Destination country and transport requirements
  • Documentation and permit costs included in the quotation
Our pricing is competitive, honest and reflects the true quality and legal compliance of our supply chain. We provide a clear, itemised proforma invoice for every confirmed order. Contact us for a tailored quotation.

We declare exclusively through Gabon. All our export operations are processed legally through Gabonese customs authorities in Libreville. We do not use Cameroon or any third country as an intermediary for our exports.

Routing through another country to circumvent Gabonese export law would be fraudulent and would invalidate all documentation. Every shipment that leaves through Africa Oud Supply carries a genuine Gabonese certificate of origin, issued by the relevant authorities in Gabon. We are fully truthful about this and will not work with partners who request otherwise.

Yes. Africa Oud Supply holds the required authorisations to export botanical raw materials from Gabon. Our documentation package includes:
  • Gabonese Export Licence — issued by the Ministère des Eaux et Forêts (Ministry of Water and Forests)
  • CITES Export Permits — where applicable for regulated species
  • Phytosanitary Certificates — issued by the Direction Générale de l'Agriculture
  • Certificate of Origin — from the Chambre de Commerce de Libreville
Screenshots and certified copies of these documents are available to verified buyers during the due diligence phase of any serious transaction.

Africa Oud Supply is a registered botanical trading and export company — not a farming entity. We operate as a professional sourcing and compliance intermediary. Our supply network includes:
  • Verified individual registered farmers (with farmer ID cards issued by the Gabonese Ministry of Agriculture)
  • Licensed agricultural cooperatives operating under Gabonese cooperative law
  • Certified forest concession operators for wild-harvested materials
We can provide the registration certificates, cooperative licences and farmer IDs of our primary suppliers upon request, as part of the full supply chain traceability package we offer to institutional and wholesale buyers.

We work with licensed freight forwarders and shipping agents established in Libreville who handle international air freight, sea freight and customs clearance. The name, contact details and accreditation of our shipping agent(s) are shared with confirmed buyers at the contract stage. We do not publicise partner names on the website for commercial confidentiality reasons. However, buyers are welcome to use their own preferred logistics partner in Libreville — we will coordinate directly with them.

Yes, we are open to working with serious, professional brokers and agents who bring qualified buyers. Commission terms are discussed privately and are structured as a percentage of the confirmed shipment value. These terms are always documented in a written intermediary agreement before any transaction proceeds. We do not commit to verbal commission arrangements. If you are representing a buyer, please disclose this from the outset — we welcome transparency and will protect your business relationship.

Tabernanthe iboga is a shrub native to the equatorial rainforests of Central Africa, particularly Gabon and Cameroon. It is a regulated botanical material. Africa Oud Supply can supply iboga botanical materials (root bark, stem bark, whole plants) exclusively to authorised buyers — including licensed pharmaceutical researchers, scientific institutions, certified botanical traders and healthcare operators where legal in their jurisdiction. All transactions require full compliance with Gabonese export law and the import regulations of the destination country. We do not supply iboga for recreational or unregulated use.

Importing Tabernanthe iboga requires a full regulatory assessment for the destination country. Documents typically required include:
  • Valid import permit from the competent authority in the buyer's country
  • Gabonese ministerial export authorisation
  • Certificate of origin
  • Phytosanitary certificate
  • Proof of buyer's professional qualification or institutional licence
We strongly recommend contacting your country's customs and health ministry before initiating any request. We will guide you through the documentation process on our end.

No. Africa Oud Supply operates exclusively through verified information requests and personalised quotations. This allows us to rigorously verify batch availability, prepare the required legal export documents and validate the logistical constraints of the destination country before any commercial transaction. Please use our quote request form or contact us directly via WhatsApp to begin the process.
